'Capital Voices' was set up to provide the music industry with a first class vocal booking service which can provide any number of singers from a soloist through small groups to a full chorus. The director, Anne Skates, hand picks singers for each individual booking to fit the exact specifications of look, sound and style required. Credits range from television, radio and films to album recordings, concerts and musical theatre, and the 'Capital Voices' service has earned a reputation for excellence in every area. Chart single releases include Robbie Williams' 'Feel', Cliff Richard's No 1 single, 'The Millennium Prayer' and Diana Ross' single, 'Goin' Back'. Albums include Jose Carreras 'Pure Passion', Michael Ball 'The Movies', Robbie Williams 'Escapology', Vinnie Jones 'Respect', Martine McCutcheon 'Martine's Musicals', Robson Green 'Moment in Time' and the forthcoming debut album by Girls Aloud. We have also provided live backing vocals for Gloria Estefan, Ronan Keating, Elton John, Will Young, Eternal, Gareth Gates, KD Lang and The Spice Girls. Television appearances to date include 'Pop Idol', the 'Lily Savage Live' series, the 'Conley' series and 'The Princes Trust Royal Gala' for Carlton, 'Parkinson', 'Top of the Pops', 'Viva La Diva' with Lesley Garrett, 'Later' with Jools Holland and 'Star for a Night' for the BBC, and 'This is My Moment' and 'Give your Mate a Break' for Granada. 'Capital Voices' also provided backing vocalists for Filippa Giordano at the televised Classical Brit Awards. Solo TV signature tunes and soundtracks include 'Jonathan Creek', 'Monarch of the Glen', 'Brother Cadfael' and 'The Buccaneers'. For BBC Radio 2 soloist and group performances include 'Friday Night is Music Night', 'Proms in the Park', 'West End Winners', 'Petula Clarke Live in London' and 'The Best of British' with Elaine Paige. Larger choirs booked by 'Capital Voices' can be heard on film soundtracks such as 'Evita' with Madonna, 'Entrapment', 'Madeline', 'Cats', 'Joseph' 'Jesus Christ Superstar', and on 'Heaven beneath the Desert' and 'The Animator's Palette' for the Walt Disney Company. 'Capital Voices' also supplied the three female singers featured on the 'M People' video, 'Testify'. Stage and concert engagements include the West End productions of 'Grease' and 'Hair', the 'Miss Saigon' 10th Anniversary, 'The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber' concerts for the Really Useful Group and Scandinavian tours of 'Fame!' and 'The Magic of Broadway'. Four soloists fronted a series of ten 'Symphonic 70's' outdoor concerts with a full symphony orchestra in the summer of 2002. 'Capital Voices' supplied backing singers for Michael Crawford's UK concert tour, and provided the choruses for 'Guys and Dolls' and 'Carousel' at the Royal Festival Hall and 'Night of 100 Stars' at the London Palladium. The singers took part in 'Midsummer Classics' at the Royal Albert Hall and in 'Showtime at the Stadium' in Cardiff with a host of stars including Steps, Blue, Atomic Kitten, A1, Damage and S Club 7. As well as acting as chorus mistress when required, Anne can offer an optional vocal music arranging service, and credits include Girls Aloud, Cliff Richard, Hear'say, Michael Ball, Martine McCutcheon and Robson Green.
